The pretty hill villages of Ghalegaun and Ghanpokhara are situated at the foothills of Lamjung Himal and home to the most hospitable Gurung community in Nepal. Both villages command a superb views of majestic western Himalayas including Machhapuchhare(6693m) Annapurna(8091m), Annapurna II (7939m) Annapurna IV (7525m), Lamjung Himal and many more smaller peaks. Apart from the superb scenaries and the hospitality of the locals, you can take a trip to Talangyo and Lami lakes for bird watching. From Ghanpokhara, the trek crosses the Marsyandi, Khudi and Modi rivers, passing through rhododendrons forest before descending to Begnas lake for the return drive to Pokhara.
