Bhote Koshi River Rafting

Bhote Koshi River Rafting in Nepal roughly translates as "river from Tibet so there are quite a lot of rivers with this name in Nepal. This Bhote Koshi is the main branch of the Sun Koshi. The Araniko highway follows the river so access and scouting are relatively easy. The upper valley above Bahrabise is impressively narrow with steep hillsides shooting up over 2000m from the river. Moreover, there are some dramatic and scenic gorges down at river level. Just to drive up the highway and look at the river is like reading an erotic novel it quickens the blood and excited the mind. Technically, the upper Bhote Koshi ends just after Barbisae where the Sun Koshi joins as a stream from the left. The lower Bhote Koshi rafting start right from the Lamasangu. Bhotekoshi is most popular for short & sweet adventure Rafting & Kayaking.

  • Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Baseri, take lunch and have rafting safety demonstration before talking - to the plunge and entering the river. The Bhote Koshi has it all, thrilling action and breathtaking scenery from thrilling drops, deep gorges and amazing lime stone formations. Thus this river offers you nothing less than the trip of a life time. Enjoy the afternoon of high action rafting, before pulling out of the river and making camp.

  • Day 02 : we repeat same part or go down Lamosangu where low parts of Bhotekoshi start, until continue to Chehere. Pack up and after take the lunch three hour drives back to Kathmandu.

  • Note: Rafting itinerary can be changed as per different situation.
